About

Polypropylene along with polyethylene is one of the most common polymeric materials. It has high strength and resistance to chemical aggressive substances, it is vapor- and gas-tight. Polypropylene is used in many industries, the main areas of use include food, packaging, chemical, pharmaceutical, textile, furniture, construction and automotive industries.

Process features

Polypropylene is produced by polymerization of propylene at temperature up to +90C and pressure up to 4 MPa in the presence of a catalyst. There are 3 methods of polymerization: in solution, in liquid phase, gas phase, liquid-gas phase polymerization.
