Polystyrene (PS) is a polymer made from the monomer styrene, a liquid hydrocarbon that is commercially manufactured from petroleum. Polystyrene is intended for the production of a wide range of products used in the construction and food industries, as well as in medicine.
Process features
Polystyrene is polymerized at temperatures up to +90C and pressures up to 0.6 MPa and with the addition of rubber if a product with increased impact resistance is required.
