The main purpose of the delayed coking unit is the production of petroleum coke used in the manufacture of construction materials, in the chemical, automotive and electrical industries, the aerospace industry, electrometallurgy, as well as in the nuclear power industry

Process features

  • Processing of heavy oil fractions
  • High temperatures (up to +510 C)
  • “Slow” coking in order to avoid coking of crude oil when heated in the furnace coils
  • Unlike all petrochemical processes coking is in non-stationary mode with periodic temperature and time changes
